Grilling Season is Around the Corner. Try These 3 Healthy BBQ Recipes
Grilling season is within reach. As the weather warms up it's nice to get outside and cook. Try these three healthy grilling recipes to keep your family happy and healthy.
Grilled Romaine Lettuce: This is a great way to do "salad" with a whole new flavor. First separate the romaine leaves and lay out on a plate. Lightly drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Then place the lettuce on the grill on medium heat. Grill until wilted, about 3 minutes. Serve warm!
Grilled Cedar Plank Salmon: This is a great way to cook salmon, giving it a smoky flavor. First soak a cedar grilling plank for at least 30 minutes in water. Next using fresh dill, place on top of the plank. Then place a large salmon filet, skin side down, onto the dill. Dress salmon with fresh dill and lemon juice with half a lemon. Then place the plank on the grill at medium heat. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Check if cooked through. May need an additional 3 minutes depending on the size of the filet.
Grilled Peaches: This is a tasty dessert that the whole family will love. Slice a peach in half and remove the pit. Next lightly drizzle maple syrup over each half. Then sprinkle cinnamon over the peach. Place the peach slices on the grill. Grill for 2 minutes on each side. Serve warm!
