3 Healthy 4th of July Recipes!
The Fourth of July is almost here! But that doesn't mean you have to wreck your healthy eating. Try these 3 tasty and healthy recipes for your BBQ. These dishes will be the hit of the party!
Berry Parfait
Ingredients:
1 cup vanilla almond milk
½ cup blueberries
½ cup strawberries (sliced)
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
Place berries in a bowl or glass. Then, sprinkle cinnamon over the berries and pour almond milk over the top. Place the dish into the freezer for 1 hour and serve cold.
Serves: 1

Kale Blueberry Salad
Ingredients:
1 bunch of kale
1 pint of blueberries
1 small red onion
½ cup of crumbled feta cheese
¼ cup of pine nuts
Balsamic vinaigrette dressing
Directions:
Cut off stems and the stalk from kale. Chop the kale leaves and place them in a salad bowl. Clean blueberries and add to the salad bowl. Slice the red onion and separate. Place the onion over salad mixture. Sprinkle with pine nuts and feta cheese. Add vinaigrette to your desired taste.
Serves: 2-4 Prep: 15 min
Turkey Burgers
Ingredients:
1 pound of ground turkey
¼ cup of chopped basil leaves
¼ cup of chopped sage
1 tsp of olive oil
½ cup of grated fresh parmesan cheese
Salt & pepper
Directions:
In a large bowl combine ground turkey, basil, sage, cheese, and 1 tsp of olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and form 4-6 round turkey burger patties. Put the grill to high heat and cook the patties on grill, flipping them every two minutes for 12-15. minutes.
