4th of July Recipes
Nothing is better than grilling on the 4th of July with friends and family. Try these healthy grilling recipes this 4th of July to keep everyone eating right and on track
1. Grilled Corn on the Cob: This is a classic for the 4th but try this variation. Using fresh corn in the husk, pull back a little bit of the husk to expose the corn. Drizzle olive oil on the corm and try to let it roll down in the husk. Place a little salt and pepper to taste. Pull the husk back up and place in tin foil. Place it on the grill for 10-15 minutes, until corn is soft. Unwrap the tin foil, cut the end of the husk off, and let the corn slip out of the husk. Serve warm!
2. Grilled Romaine Lettuce: After cleaning and separating the leaves of fresh Romaine lettuce, drizzle a bit of balsalmic vinegar over each leaf. Place it directly on the grill for a few minutes just until it wilts. Take if off the groll and serve warm!
3. Grilled Fresh Peaches: Slice fresh peaches in half and remove the pit. Place the peach flat side down directly on the grill. Grill for 5-10 minutes until grill marks are seen and the peach is tender. Serve warm in a bowl!
